In my last post, I had shown a narrative from my perspective relating to the song "Steady" by Bella Kay. If you haven't read it, I suggest taking a look at it, as today I will be expanding on this piece.

Love can be exciting, but it can also be confusing and even scary. Sometimes, the hardest part isn’t being hurt by someone else but feeling like you don’t deserve love in the first place. This idea of fear, vulnerability, and self-doubt became the main inspiration behind my artwork and this blog plus my last.

For this post, I will show multiple platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube to tell one connected story. Each platform presents the same message in a different way, showing how emotions like insecurity and fear of love can be expressed visually, verbally, and creatively.

I started with my Instagram post, which serves as the foundation of my message. In the image, the main figure is separated from others, watching from a distance while they experience connection.

The purpose of this post is to visually represent feelings of isolation, insecurity, and the fear of being vulnerable. The rain and distance between the characters symbolize emotional barriers and self-doubt.

This directly connects to my main message because it shows how fear can prevent someone from fully experiencing love, even when they want it.

To build on this idea, I created a TikTok that focuses more on emotion and atmosphere. The video uses the same artwork along with music to create a deeper emotional experience. Although I did almost the same thing on Instagram, I dis-included the deep meaning behind the post and left it for the viewers to narrate themselves. The purpose of this TikTok is to bring the feeling of the piece to life. While the Instagram post is still and reflective, TikTok allows the message to feel more immediate and immersive. This connects back to my main theme by emphasizing how overwhelming emotions like fear and overthinking can feel in real time.

On X, I condensed my message into a short statement by just introducing the piece and nothing else. The post focuses on the idea that sometimes the fear of love comes from within, not from other people.

The purpose of this post is to make the message simple and easy to connect with. Unlike the more detailed Instagram caption, this version captures the core emotion in just one sentence.

This supports my main message by showing how complex feelings like insecurity and vulnerability can be expressed in a direct and relatable way.

For my LinkedIn post, I chose a piece of content from Brené Brown that focuses on vulnerability and emotional exposure. Her work often discusses how people struggle with feelings of unworthiness and the fear of being truly seen by others.

The purpose of including this post is to bring a more professional and reflective perspective to my overall message. While my artwork focuses on personal emotions and relationships, this post expands on those ideas by showing how vulnerability is something many people experience, not just in love but in everyday life.

This connects directly to my main theme because my artwork represents the fear of opening up and the feeling of not being good enough for love. Brené Brown explains that these feelings are common and are often what hold people back from forming real connections. This helps reinforce the idea that vulnerability, although uncomfortable, is an important part of growth and emotional connection.

Finally, I included the music video for "Steady" by Bella Kay, which directly inspired my artwork.

The purpose of this video is to provide deeper context for the emotions behind my piece. The song explores themes of hesitation, fear of love, and emotional uncertainty.

This strongly connects to my main message because it is the original source of inspiration, helping tie all the platforms together into one cohesive story about vulnerability and self-doubt.

Overall, this blog demonstrates how one central idea can be expressed across multiple platforms in different ways. From visual art on Instagram to short-form thoughts on X and emotional storytelling through TikTok and YouTube, each platform adds something unique to the message.

Together, they show that fear of love and vulnerability is a complex experience that can be communicated in many forms. By connecting all of these pieces, I was able to create a more complete and meaningful story about insecurity, growth, and the challenge of opening up to others.
